Therapy Success Story

Ms. R. was admitted to us from the hospital after having recurrent falls due to worsening of her neuropathy. She had decreased sensitivity and weakness in both her upper and lower extremities which inhibited her ability to perform her activities of daily living without assistance. She worked very hard in therapy focusing on functional activities and exercise as well as adaptive techniques for her self-care. She made huge progress and is able to ambulate safely as well as perform her activities of daily living with enough independence to discharge to an assisted living facility. We are very happy and excited for her success.
